Loop Powered Indicator | LPI-500

The LPI-500 Series Loop Powered Indicator is a versatile device designed for industrial control and measurement applications. Featuring a 5-digit LED display, the indicator accepts a 4-20 mA loop current input from 2/3-wire process transmitters. With user-programmable settings and password protection, it offers easy calibration using software, eliminating the need for trimpots. The indicator operates within a wide temperature range (-10°C to 50°C) and has a temperature coefficient of accuracy at 0.005% FS/°C. Its accuracy is impressive, with a deviation of ±0.1% of the full-scale range in linear mode and ±0.2% in square root mode. The unit provides a quick display update rate of 1 second in both modes. Designed for flexibility, the LPI-500 can be set in linear or square root operational mode based on user preferences. It features a range locking/unlocking facility and an offset adjustment to compensate for field errors. With a loop voltage drop of less than 4.8 VDC and reverse polarity protection, the indicator ensures reliable performance.
