ROS Remote Optical Sensors
Remote Optical Sensors (ROS) are versatile and popular devices designed for a wide range of general-purpose applications in relatively clean environments. These sensors, available in two variations – ROS-W with tinned wire termination and ROS-P with a 1/8″ phone plug termination, feature a visible red LED light source and a green LED On-Target Indicator. With a speed range of 1-250,000 RPM, these sensors are housed in non-magnetic 303 stainless steel, making them resistant to heat treatment. The sensors offer a flexible operating range of up to 36 inches with a 45° offset from the target. They are equipped with visible red LED illumination and a green LED indicator on the wire end cap, providing clear feedback on target alignment. The power requirement for these sensors is 3.0 – 15 V dc at 40 mA, and they produce a negative pulse input voltage (+V) to 0 as the output signal.
