RS-485 to Ethernet Converter – ERS-485

The ERS-485 by Ambetronics is an efficient RS-485 to Ethernet Converter designed for seamless serial data transmission over IP networks. This economical Modbus-to-Ethernet converter easily integrates with devices featuring RS-485 ports, enabling web connectivity. The ERS-485 eliminates cable length limitations, supporting “serial tunneling” through Ethernet or TCP/IP. It serves as a single-port serial server, converting serial to Ethernet, and excels in cable replacement, virtual COM port connections, simultaneous communication with multiple RS-485 devices, connecting Serial PLCs to Ethernet, and supporting Modbus RTU to Modbus over TCP/IP or Modbus TCP/IP conversion. Key features include LED indication, cost-effectiveness, 10/100Mbps Ethernet speed, TCP/UDP/Telnet modes, DHCP/Static IP modes, web-based configuration, and low power consumption.
